Smith Golf was founded by Christie Smith in 2000 and
is located in Redwood City, CA.
Through
our commitment, experience, and expertise Christie Smith
Golf has established a business relationship with our customers
that will last a lifetime!
The
Staff
Christie
has hired an experienced team of business individuals, LPGA
golf pros and educators who are dedicated to excellence.
Christie
Smith, LPGA is the founder of Christie Smith Golf. Christie
speaks, trains, and consults with corporations on how to
benefit from golf in work and life. Christie Smith has been
involved in the golf industry for over 13 years. From 1996-1999,
Christie developed a golf school and an executive golf program
at Stanford University where she was director of instruction.
Most
recently, Christie was director of the Women’s Academy
at the Sonoma Mission Inn Golf Club. Upon leaving Sonoma
she started her own company, Christie Smith Golf.
Expert
Instructor Christie Smith is recognized as one of the game's
premier teachers and players. Christie is a southern
gal from Alabama. Christie still competes in the U.S.
Women's Open and any event she can squeeze into her busy
schedule.
Christie
received degrees in business administration and golf management
from Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina,
where she played for their National Championship Golf Team.
She resides in Redwood City, California.
Throughout
her 13 year career, Christie has taught thousands of men,
women, and kids the game of golf. She moved to the
California Bay Area eight years ago from Birmingham, Alabama
where she was an instructor for an exclusive golf school.
She is trained as a Henry-Griffitts Club Fitter, Dave Pelz
Short Game Golf School, Chuck Hogan Golf School, and SportSense
High-tech Video. After her arrival to the Bay Area,
she became the Director of Instruction for SportSense, an
innovative golf company that researched PGA, LPGA, and Senior
PGA swings with sophisticated high-tech computers that analyzed
every aspect of the golf swing. She personally researched
Tiger Wood's golf swing and provided lessons to PGA tour
players, Noteh Begay and Casey Martin.
